Absent again, an explanation
Well I have yet still not been active on here and there's a few reasons as to it.
First of all my interest in the sort of Alt-History dieselpunk setting has wavered somewhat mostly since I have had other distractions in life along with the fact that it was only a vaguely organized mess. That's the reason why I haven't posted anything from those lines in forever. Another reason is that I feel as if the designs I've made up have for the most part been lacking. Compared to the imaginative designs of Dieselpunk seen around on this site most of the craft I've made have looked lackluster. Regarding that universe I'm thinking of rebooting it, giving it a proper name, and trying to organize it properly so that my ideas can be more focused. As for other drawings, I have been drawing in my time since when I used to be somewhat active. Not just on that one sword I posted, a lot of stuff I've been drawing has been MLP related mostly for friends. I'm thinking of perhaps posting that stuff here at some point, though I don't want to be primarily a pone drawer. A fear of making the people brought along by my Dieselpunk work unhappy with seeing a bunch of cartoon horses was part of the reason for my hesitation to post those drawings here. Thinking about it now though I feel that's a but much to worry about especially given this site's reputation as being friendly (even as far as being called a hugbox). Not to mention I'm not exactly big here XD (not that I don't appreciate those who have followed, much thanks!).
Something else that's distracted me has been online community college where I'm seeking a degree in video game design along the art and design lines (since I'm a bit too math-stupid to do the programming). Those classes have taken up some of my time as well. Despite the distractions and hesitations, I do hope to start posting here again! Posting something of a variety ranging from pones, content relating to my dieselpunk universe, weapon designs, and perhaps a few other things. Going to try and use this profile as a place where I just freely place my art, whatever I decide to make.

I also haven't been active on DA period, and I know at least someone has missed my comments. BUT! I intend to soon enough start uploading here again, whether it be more dieselpunk aeronautics or other things I decide to post, I wanna post some more stuff here, so consider staying tuned!

As you can see I have a lot of tabs open. That is because I have continually been running into great inspiration craft. Mostly german, those germans made a ridiculous amount of unique designs in the ww2 period. I intend to draw and post more aircraft soon! Probably after the holidays!

Or should I say SCREWup.
You wouldn't believe some of the crap I dealt with making the models, the program's functions and mechanics often seem to be in direct opposition to my efforts. These have particularly happened when I have tried to smoothen up the model, but crap has happened in other places. I go to smooth up a model hoping to be finishing up and BAM! There's freaking holes that I can't seem to close up! Sometimes entire pieces of the model seem to go missing when I soften/smooth edges. I select the whole model, select 'soften/smooth eges' and it leaves out lots of lines for me to clean up with Ctrl+eraser, and yet again theres lines I can't hide with that that for some reason need me to use the select tool to hide.....it just goes on. Sketchup was made for building and it shows that it's hardly good at anything more complex. I have had it, I'm not putting up with that crap anymore. If I do modeling it WILL. NOT. BE. WITH. FREAKING. SCREWUP (aka sketchup). As you can see from my latest deviation I couldn't even finish my latest model cause it kept driving me crazy. I've had it with sketchup, I sure as shotgun ain't planning on using it, I'm not gonna go through any more frustration to try to get a program made for architects do aircraft. So if you don't see anymore models for a while, this is why. If I do take part in modeling it will likely be with something that won't drive me to manic insanity. I will likely just stick to practicing my drawing skills with my new tablet. Anyway that's all, have good day peeps.
